Have Tights Made a Comeback?

Guess who’s back?

Back again… tights are back… tell a friend! Okay, okay… I’m sure you get the point. Classic tights have definitely marked their return, and you can’t scroll through the latest fashion magazines, your favorite bloggers’ instagram account, or even browse catwalk photos without seeing them.

With this particular outfit look, I chose to wear sheer tights with diamond design to add character since I typically stick to neutral colored clothing. I’m obsessed with everything leather (I’m convinced I was Catwoman in another life), so I tend to deviate towards embellished leather skirts. I wanted to keep it simple with my top, so this Zara wavy cream sweater with a black hem did the trick. For accessories I went with a pair of clumpy black boots, and a classic quilted backpack, which are both By Chanel.

What’s the best part about tights? You can transition your super sexy short skirts and dresses to a more conservative look, just by throwing on a pair of tights. The lace designs add a perfect touch of femininity, while fishnets are more of an edgy look. They also happen to be a super affordable accessory, unless of course you’re going for the Wolford brand which starts at $70 and up. I’m not going to lie though; the Wolford henna design tights are on my wish list!

Now although you normally retire hosiery as the Spring and Summer seasons arrive, the 2017 fashion runways didn’t get the memo. Looks as though tights decided to extend their stay, and get this, their being worn with open-toe heels! I’m all about pushing the limits, but I don’t think that’s a look I’ll be trying out.
